see, up to this point, ive only been mentioning certain ways to do well FOR exams... and that actually means, ur preparing for the exam, sitting for the exam and finishing it.
THIS part, my friends, is for those who only have a 100% reason to BAIL the exam. im not talking about playing hooky here. im saying that your already IN the exam but you gota get out for some reason or another.
and im assuming this reason.. isnt a good reason. but hey anyway i'm just the messenger :)
i believe myself to be a master of chocolates. and this involves not only eating and knowing them. but using them. yes. i am a master of chocolate. 6th dan. dont mess.
why'd you think i called two types of chocolates in my previous post my big guns? i'll tell you why.
i will now reveal the secret ming chocolate technique. focus. picture yourself in the midst of the exam with only one thing on your mind: getting out.
hold to that thought. make it...your... strength...
mars bars would be the first choice. snickers add more drama to it.. u know, with all the nuts. amazing.

if you've made it this far and your still reading, you have my deepest and most sincere thanks. up to now, ive given you what to do FOR the exams to prepare yourselves and how to get OUT of exams.. i shall now give a few pointers on how to get thru it.. and believe me, its gonna take more than willpower.
ming's survival tip number 1.
SLEEP. i mean, i know people who stay up nights and burn the candles or what brand oil. and trust me, i know people who dont sleep at all. but this is what i think works.
there are two parts to sleeping. one part's called
R.E.M. sleep.(rapid eye movement)
see this kinda sleep usually kicks in only AFTER AT LEAST 2 hours of sleep, give or take. and on an average, out of 8 hours of sleep, u only get 2hours TOPS of R.E.M. sleep.
whats the big deal about it? REM is actually the section of sleeping where your brain consolidates facts (yay another power word!) what this means is, it arranges facts in ur head and kinda makes an "index" of them.
you ever heard the saying "if you cant figure out something, sleep on it and you'll figure it out in the morning" yeah this is where it's from.
THOUGH there are people who wont agree with this kuz they wanna squeeze every single bit out of their night to study. well here's news for you
1. try it for 2 weeks. i did it for 3 months in a row. and it's safe to say that i'll never do it again.
2. you should have studied earlier. see la. now stay up late late.
but here's a bit more tips for sleeping anyway.
take
cat naps. they do wonders for a tired brain. now im not talking about sleeping 1 or 2 hours between studying times. your brain could use a rest after an hour or so of studying. the
"optimum" level for brain functioning lasts about 45minutes but pfft. come on la. malaysia boleh.
cat napping or power naps are usually 20minutes long. nap anywhere from 10-20minutes. i'd really ask u to take caution on this. any longer than this amount of time and your brain starts to go into a deeper state of sleep. THEN you'll wake up feeling crappy or u'll find it's harder to get up.
ming's survival tip number 2
"today my paper sucked so bad, i had to give it a straw"
MOVE ON. the
worst thing you can do is dwindle or wallow in pity on a paper. NOBODY gets thru spm without thinking they screwed at least one paper up. so please, expect it. prepare yourself.
im not sure i should be telling you this but i will anyway. it
might give some sense of comfort. but please, dont take it for granted and say "cheh like that no nid to study la"

you see, when i was in highschool, i NEVER EVER got an A or even anywhere close to an occasional B for sejarah. but something happened right on the day i took my sejarah paper.
food poisoning.
i probably finished the 1st paper in 10minutes and 2nd paper in 20minutes then i went home to bomb the south china sea. trust me, u wanna know how it feels to screw up spm ah, let that happen to u. plus, sejarah was the FIRST PAPER I HAD OK. talk about a bad start.
but here's how it turned out. I got an
A2 for sejarah. hard to believe? not really. here's what i believe you should do.
study like you've never prayed.
pray like you've never studied.
and dont worry kuz the standard gets lowered EVERY YEAR (for reasons i shall not mention) eventhough everyone says otherwise.
so please, be assured. if u go thru a sucky exam day, just
pick urself up,
forget about the paper and
focus on the next. your focus is crucial.
ming's final survival tip; number 3.
savor it.
there's nothing more powerful than enjoying something. yeah, u might think im freaking stupid for saying this. why? u hate studying, u hate spm, u hate the fact u even have to do this stupid exam when you could have saved urself the pimples and look all pretty in your prom dress.
i did too
well cept for the fact that i didnt get that many pimples and i wore a suit.
im not asking you to
enjoy the paper.. but you see, during the papers this is what everyone forgets. and before they know it, it's over.
when ur done with ur paper and u have time to spare after checking thru (oh yeah this is important too! ).. just take a look around.
this is going to be the last time you're ever gonna be sitting in a school, doing ur spm with a group of friends you've known for 5 years.. or even since primary school.. you're never gonna have friends like this again. not in college or even university. and that's a fact. you'll have
different friends, good ones.. but never the same.
take
everything in. being able to wear ur uniform, your class, your black or whiteboard. your school outside your class. the desks. the person next to you who thinks your trying to look at their paper.
the place where you learned about life. the place where you learned what friends are like.. what to do and what not to. the first few years of the beginning of your life.
cause in just a few days, they're all going to be
memories.
you wont be waking up early mornings to put on the same uniform anymore. walking thru ur school gates to familiar sounds and sights.. getting together your group of friends just to yamcha like how u do every day in the canteen is gona be harder than you think.
sure, these last few days are going to be hectic. but its the last few days of your life in your school.
so enjoy your time everyone. i hope you've enjoyed reading my posts as well. as much as they are "tips" theyre just there to make people laugh. dont take me too seriously.
